Govindalaya envisions providing urban amenities in rural areas of KBK (Koraput-Balangir-Kalahandi) region in Odisha* which has been suffering lack of basic infrastructure, unemployment and food scarcity for ages; and thereby improving quality of life for people living in this part of the world. We are supported by philanthropic donations from corporations, foundations, and generous individuals. Govindalaya is one of the charitable organisations approved by Tax Authorities in India; all donations to Govindalaya are tax-deductible, and matched at 50%.

Donors interested in receiving letter of acknowledgement, donation receipt and copy of tax exemption order should convey their full postal address and email id. Donations/ contributions made shall be used strictly in accordance with the payers’ instruction.
On non-receipt of any instructions from Payers’ side about utilisation of the dominations made, Govindalaya will utilise the funds as per organisational needs.

Donors can recall their donations / contributions by writing us an e-mail citing the reasons for their recall. We certainly would like to respond to misinformation, if any be the apparent reasons behind donors seeking refund / recall of the donation made by them. In case the funds received from donor already spent for the purpose for which donation was made, we would request the donor to wait till we receive funds for the same purpose from some other source. Generally this process shouldn’t take more than a month. |
Normally we display donor particulars on our website once in a year for each instance of donation exceeding 20000 INR. However, we will refrain from doing that in case a donor doesn’t wish us to do that.
