Science Express – Biodiversity Special, a unique Science Exhibition focusing on biodiversity and climate change, running on Indian Rail network entered KBK region on 9th July 2013. It was stationed at Balangir for 3 (three) days between 9th and 11th July and at Rayagada for 3 (three) days between 12th and 14th July 2013.  Science Express is an innovative mobile exhibition mounted on a specially designed 16 coach AC Train, travelling across India since October 2007.

We provided voluntary services of interpretation of the exhibition in local language to thousands of students who visited the exhibition. Govindalya’s voluntary services at Balangir and Rayagada to Science Express helped organisers of the Exhibition disseminating technical and scientific information to school going children and teachers of KBK, which is one of the most backward regions in India. Govindalaya’s team had 40 volunteer members including science & computer science students, teachers and government officials.
